Project Structure

The COREnect project is structured around two strategic work packages (WP2, WP3) and two supporting work packages (WP1, WP4). A short description of each WP is given below

WP1

Project management

This work package provides the overall project governance to ensure the effective and efficient execution of the project towards its planned objectives and according to its budget and schedule. To achieve this, this work package interacts with all other work packages.

WP2

Strategy, vision and requirements

This work package defines the strategy and vision, as well as the required R&I and investments for the expected core hardware components where Europe should seize opportunities and strengthen its capabilities to build European technological sovereignty in 5G and beyond. WP2 interacts with the stakeholders and broad communities through WP4, and sources its findings to build the roadmap in WP3.

WP3

Roadmap and recommendations

This work package defines the European roadmap for hardware enabling technologies supporting European strategic autonomy objectives for future connectivity platforms and provides recommendations to the stakeholders to successfully achieve the roadmap objectives. The roadmap builds on the results of WP2 and is incrementally promoted and disseminated through WP4.

WP4

Community building and outreach

This work package acts as the main interface to external communities and establishes communication channels through events and direct interaction. The stakeholder engagement is also enhanced by establishing connections between different communities. This work package will act as a bidirectional channel to the external environment for different type of analysis, roadmapping, dissemination and exploitation.
